Ordering & Payment

How do I place an order for a custom PC?

Use our step-by-step Custom PC Configurator to choose each compatible component. The builder prevents incompatible parts, shows a running total, and lets you review before adding to cart. Our experts hand-build every custom PC to your specification and can advise at any time.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit/debit cards, PayPal, bank transfer (on request), and Buy Now, Pay Later financing at checkout. Prices are shown in GBP and include UK VAT.

Do you offer financing or installment plans?

Yes—flexible finance options are available on eligible orders. Choose a finance method at checkout to apply in minutes and, if approved, spread your payments over time.

Eligibility: UK residents, 18+, subject to status and affordability checks. Minimum/maximum order values apply and a deposit may be required depending on provider. Missed payments may affect your credit file. See provider terms at checkout.

Which finance options are available?

We support multiple pay‑later providers. Availability depends on your order and eligibility:

  • PayPal Pay in 3: interest‑free on purchases of £20–£3,000. No sign‑up fees or late fees. Subject to status.
  • Klarna Pay in 3: split your purchase into 3 interest‑free payments. Eligibility checks apply.
  • Clearpay: 4 interest‑free payments every 2 weeks. Late fees may apply—see Clearpay terms.
  • Shop Pay Installments (Affirm): pay over 3, 6 or 12 months. Credit is subject to checks and minimum spend; a deposit may be required. Unregulated credit; missed payments could affect your financial status.
  • Dopple finance: longer terms available (up to 24 months). Representative APRs are shown at checkout; credit subject to status and affordability. We may receive a commission from lenders; we do not charge you a fee.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Contact us as soon as possible. We can often adjust details within the first 24 hours. If production has begun, changes are harder and a small cancellation fee may apply. If an order has shipped, please use the returns process instead.

Do you offer any discounts or promotional offers?

We run seasonal promotions and bundles (e.g., game codes with select GPUs) and may offer student/military discounts. Subscribe to our newsletter for updates. Financing can also help spread the cost even when no promotion is active.

Will I receive an order confirmation and invoice?

Yes. You’ll receive an order confirmation email and VAT invoice immediately after checkout. If it doesn’t arrive, check spam or contact us to resend. Keep your invoice for records and warranty.

PC Building & Customization

How does the Custom PC Configurator work?

It walks you through CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and more, filtering choices for compatibility automatically. You’ll see a live price and spec summary, can save builds to your account, then add to cart when ready.

What if I’m not sure what specs or components I need?

Browse our Prebuilt PCs or contact our experts via chat/email for tailored advice. We provide lifetime support, including post‑purchase guidance and upgrade recommendations.

Are all components brand new and latest generation?

Yes—only new, genuine parts from leading brands. We keep options current (e.g., latest CPU/GPU generations) and all components include full manufacturer warranties. We handle warranty service for you—see Warranty.

Will my custom PC be assembled and tested properly?

Absolutely. Certified technicians assemble your PC with care, then run thorough stress tests and performance benchmarks, followed by a detailed QC checklist. Only after passing do we prepare your system for shipment.

Will my PC come with Windows installed?

You can select Windows 11 Home/Pro or No Operating System during configuration. If selected, we pre‑install and activate Windows and drivers. If not, systems ship fully tested with a blank drive for your own OS install.

What if a component is out of stock or not listed?

Options reflect real‑time inventory. If a part is unavailable, choose an alternative or contact us for ETAs or special sourcing. For back‑orders we’ll reach out with solutions—equivalents, free upgrades, or waiting options—with your approval.

Do you overclock components as part of the build?

By default we ship at stock settings for stability and longevity. On request we can provide tuned OC builds with appropriate cooling and stability testing. Factory‑OC parts run as intended.

What happens after I order—how long does it take?

Custom builds typically take ~7–10 working days for assembly, testing, and preparation, plus courier transit. Timelines vary with demand and parts availability. We’ll provide updates at each stage and share tracking on dispatch.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship to, and how much does shipping cost?

We deliver to UK Mainland addresses only. Shipping is free next‑day delivery on all orders to UK Mainland.

How do you package PCs—will it be safe in transit?

Systems are secured with internal bracing/instapack if needed, placed in the case box with foam, then double‑boxed with additional cushioning. Every shipment is fully insured and requires a signature. If anything seems off, please contact us within 48 hours.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery to UK Mainland is next working day after dispatch. Orders placed before 12 PM (Mon–Fri) are dispatched the same day; orders after 12 PM or on weekends dispatch the next working day.

How can I track my shipment?

You’ll receive a tracking email with courier details and a link upon dispatch. You can also find tracking in your account under My Orders. Sign up for courier notifications to reschedule or add delivery instructions.

Do you offer in‑store pickup or a showroom?

We operate online without a public showroom. In limited cases we can arrange local pickup by request—please contact us before ordering. Direct shipping helps us keep costs down and deliver efficiently.

Returns & Warranty

What is your return policy?

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for change‑of‑mind purchases. Please review product specifications carefully before ordering and contact us if you need help choosing.

What if my PC arrives damaged or DOA?

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours. If your PC develops a fault within the first 14 days, email hello@cactipcs.com with your order number. We’ll arrange a free return and repair or replacement promptly.

What warranty do you provide?

All new systems include a 3-year return-to-base warranty, covering both parts and labour. All refurbished systems include a 1-year return-to-base warranty, also covering parts and labour.

If your system develops a hardware fault during the warranty period, we will diagnose the issue, repair or replace any faulty components, and return the system to you at no additional cost.

Please note: the warranty excludes accidental damage, misuse, software-related issues, and unauthorised modifications.

How do I get warranty service?

Email hello@cactipcs.com with your order number and a description of the issue. We’ll diagnose remotely and, if service is required, issue an RMA. You ship the system to us; we repair/replace the faulty components and return it to you at no extra cost.

Can I upgrade my PC without voiding the warranty?

Upgrades are supported. Warranty continues to cover original components; third‑party parts are covered by their own warranties. Damage caused by improper or unauthorized modifications is not covered. If in doubt, contact us for guidance.

Do individual components have their own warranties?

Many parts carry 2–5 year manufacturer warranties. For the first 3 years, we handle warranty service for you. After that period, if a component is still under manufacturer warranty, we can assist with documentation or direct service.
